The Book Of V review at Metal Junkie Zine

4,6/5

Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails and Pantera mentioned

“For industrial metal enthusiasts, this offering from Finland’s V FOR VIOLENCE will  excite the senses. This is the genre done right as far as I’m concerned. Their cut “The Hated Saint” is quintessential with it’s thick, dark production. The rest of the album bludgeons the ears with deliciousness that reminds of NINE INCH NAILS and a dash of PANTERA groove-brutality. SLIPKNOT fans will also love this.”

Fear Factory ja Slipknot mainittu. Albumin lyyrinen anti nosti arvostelijan V-käyrän odotetusti nousuun!

“The Book of V on ammattitaitoisesti tehtyä musiikkia, jossa jokaisessa kappaleessa on selkeä koukku, välittömästi takaraivoon tarttuva jippo. ”

Slipknot, Jazz and Punk mentioned!

““The Book Of V” ei ole täydellinen levy. Se on ruma, se on raaka, se on nopea, ja siinä on jotain erikoista asennetta, minkä takia se toimii aivan mahtavasti. Jos yhtye on hukkunut joskus sinultakin, nyt on oikea aika palata takasin Vee niinkuin Väkivallan pariin. Muutenkin tätä voi suositella kaikille, jotka kaipaavat pientä suomalaista aggressiota ja asennetta elämäänsä.”

“The Book Of V ain’t perfect, it’s ugly, it’s raw, it’s fast and it has got some weird attitude, which makes it awesome[…] It’s a right time to get back to this band and it’s recommended for anyone in a need for some Finnish aggression and attitude”

““I Need You” you’ll stumble across a minor Gothic vibe. It is a track, that I can only recommend to you. No questions asked. The ride continues with “A Place To Fill” and the first words that came into my mind when wanting to describe this one were“Fucking sick, man!”. Best description ever, right? ”

“Bands like V For Violence are the only ones that can still bring something new to the Metal genre and we should appreciate that.”
